(Head Office: Ikebukuro Aoyagi Bldg. 5F, 2-43-1, Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Ryosuke Yoshimura), a subsidiary that operates retail contact lenses stores, acquired 100% of the shares of Inter-Optical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shomon Bldg. 4F, 2-13-25, Omachi, Aoba-ku, Sendai; Representative Director: Hideo Kanemaru) on June 30, 2026, making it a wholly owned subsidiary.
W.I.System Co., Ltd. is committed to enhancing customer value in the contact lenses-related business through product proposals and services to support each individual customer and deliver comfortable vision and the joy of sight. It has positioned its sales network expansion as a crucial growth strategy. As a member of “Miru” stores, the Menicon Group distributors, it operates 86 “Ace Contact” contact lenses stores, primarily in eastern Japan.
Inter-Optical Co., Ltd. operates 3 stores in convenient locations in Sendai, the largest city in the Tohoku region, including the one near Sendai station.
By making Inter-Optical a wholly owned subsidiary this time, we will further expand our customer touchpoints in eastern Japan. We will also leverage the store operation know-how and customer service skills that the two companies have developed, expecting synergistic effects such as enhancement of service quality and store operations.
After the stock acquisition, we will continue to provide customer service while building on the business foundation and store operation system of Inter-Optical.
