Menicon Co., Ltd. (head office: 21-19 Aoi 3, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Japan; President and COO: Koji Kawaura) will start handling the soft contact lens cleaning and disinfecting solution “epica Smart clean” with a smart lens case as part of the MELS Plan lens care products delivery service “Care Plus” on June 1, 2023 (Thu).

Many soft contact lens users are concerned about lens care. “Contact lens care is bothersome but should be conducted properly.” “epica Smart clean” was developed to help users solve this dilemma.

1. Product features  
[1] Easy: Smart lens case focusing on the ease of use  
The Menicon smart lens case has a unique lens basket designed to open and close easily. In addition, by eliminating the handling for a neutralizer, the lens case with a built-in neutralizer eases the burden of contact lens care.

[2] Clean: Smart Touch design to take out the lens without touching the inner surface

[3] Safe: Locking nozzle for eye safety  
“epica Smart clean” (hydrogen peroxide) can cause severe eye irritation before neutralization. The locking nozzle, which opens to push the solution into the smart lens case, prevents the erroneous use of “epica Smart clean” to rinse the contact lens.
